So on June 11th Angel turn one year old. I still remember the day we knew she was here. We couldnt find out which hosptial she was at, her dad wouldn't answer his phone and when we finally found her at John's Hopkins she was so tiny you could hold her with two hands, 1lb 1/4oz. Now she fits in your arms just right. So for her Birthday we sang to her and gave her a cupcake and then we had her party with the family at our fathers day cookout she got lots of gifts new toys, clothes, and sippy cups. She loves playing with her new toys. The doctor says to try and work with her on sippy cups that's the next project.
But for now she is sitting on her own better then before, but still working on catching herself, she is standing with her feet on the floor instead of on her toes, and she is pulling herself up. Angel has learned to shake her head no, and also to clap her hands, and to stick her tongue out. We are working on waving hi and bye and also saying hi and up. We are in the teething process still and still no teeth, but now you can see the white of her teeth in her gums so their moving. Also we are now trying whole foods just in little bites and so far so good. We still eat our baby food and drink our juice, but everything is going great with her. Its amazing how 1 year ago she was fighting for her life for 5 months long and now she is great as could be.

Well Mother's day was a hit, not for me but for all the mother's in the family. Angel that day was dressed up really cute but when I got out of work and came to our family event I got sick so no good for me. Angel was strolled around the yard by her grand mom and made over by everyone in the family which FYI she loves the attention. Angel also has been starting to eat baby cookies and crackers now and some fruits to suck on because her teeth hurt. Still no teeth the doctors says but they're moving down but not enough to cut through the gums yet poor baby in so much pain. This month she gain a little bit of weight not much but she did get longer so shes not so short lol but were still in 3-6 months clothes going into 6-9 month but that's ok most parents say they grow to fast our baby just grows to slow but she'll catch up love her in small clothes. Angel is holding her bottle more and more now shes becoming a big girl. I still cant believe next month she'll be a year old. Angel also is sitting more and longer by herself, but when your behind her or a toy is in her mouth she gets wobbly still and goes backwards. Still working on crawling she is bull headed when it comes to that part of working during the day. Angel loves to sit at the computer and hit the keyboard. this typing will be from Angel herself.......'';\ x n m n 000.06101 n m ,m, ,mm 9,8]. she loves hitting the keyboard. Angel also loves playing with her feet now too since shes gotten longer she can play with her feet. Well until next time.

So Angel will be turning 11months on May the 11th wow how the time flew by so fast but we did finally bring her home from the NUCI when she was 5 months old. Angel is sitting up more still wobbly at times like when a toy is in her mouth. We are still working on her crawling and she'll do the work but when she gets to tried she'll cheat and pull the blanket with the toy towards her. Man she cracks me up. She either wants to stand or she wants to sit. Yesterday Angel said NA for the first time so were starting to speak a little which is great. Angels hmm's to herself alot and to you and fake coughs. Also when Angels is in her walker she pushes herself backwards instead or forwards but at least she is moving her legs now. Also Angels is now feeling for textures on everything like blankets, rugs, pillows, hair animals, if she thinks its a different texture she has to feel it. We are having a teething issue though in her brain shes teething and she has all the symptoms but those teeth just dont want to come down yet I feel so bad for her every toy has to be chewed and shes has her favorites ones now too. She now figured out thumb sucking but she just wont curl her other fingers so she covers her nose up its so cute. Angel is getting better with the baby food and juice so far no problems with that. Well I believe that's it for now until she does more see you next time.

Her aunt Theresa and uncle Kevin and cousin brody came back home from Nashville and they finally meet for the frist time. Ah it was a great sight seeing everyone together and Angel meeting her aunt, uncle and cousin for the frist time. She was so tried by the end of the day she went to bed pretty early since she only took two 20 mins naps. Also on Easter Angel got to have baby food in with her baby ceral for the frist time so were trying some new foods at the same time. Not that Angel really understand the whole Easter hoilday but she enjoyed seeing the family and all the gifts she got. All in all it was a great Easter and plenty more to come.

Angel's Eyes
Angel 6/11/11 born at 24weeks 1 lb 1/4 oz
Hello my name is Lauren, and I am a second cousin to Angel, I am also apart of her foster family. Angels Father is my cousin. Angel was born at 24 weeks 1 lb 1/4 oz and was a still born but with the situation her parents gave her cpr and called 911. At that point Angel was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital and she satyed in the NCUI unit for five months. Angel had a tiny eye problem at grade zero but it never did turn into anything. In the hospital Angel was always on feeding tubes and when the nurses and doctors would try to feed her with bottels she would get an infection this happened twice, finally we got to feed her with bottels around 3 to 4 months old. Angel had to have a minor surgery the weekend that we were supposed to bring her home she recovered very well from it. She spent her frist hurricane and earthquake in the hopsital and her frist 4th of july and labor day weekend plus her first halloween in the hospital. I remember the first time we got to touch her, her tiny hand only fit my tumb nail and her foot was the size of my tumb knuckle to the top. I remember the first time we could hold her and dress her up and then feed her. The best day was when we got to bring her home it was great but sad to leave such good people that became your friends and somewhat your family. As of today Angel is 10 months old and a little over 13 lbs no problems with her sight or hearing and is healthy as can be and I am loving each day with her. Shes now laughing and saying ba, da, la signing to herself, sitting on her own and now eating baby cearl. I love each day with her and am so gratful to the lord and all the nurses and doctors that help save Angels life. Everyone in the family cant wait to see her and loves her so much.
